Bronze Bushed
Bronze bushed sheaves can be furnished with an oil impregnated or standard bronze bushing.
Roller Bearing
Sheaves can be furnished with roller bearings, roller bearings with inner race, ball bearings and tapered roller bearings. There is an endless variety of bearing options dependent on the application.
Finish Bore
Finish bore, plain bore, and common bore sheaves are machined to your dimensions, specifications, and tolerances.
Sheaves are available up to 48″ diameter in a variety of materials. Most common material grades used are ASTM 1045, A572 GR50 and 4140 but many other alloys and synthetics are available to suit specific applications. The flexibility of our manufacturing process allows us to make custom sheaves in various quantities and configurations at competitive prices and in a timely manner.
All Sheave Source sheaves 14″ and larger are heat treated. The heat treating process provides increased strength, toughness, and wear resistance for those applications where a tougher, more durable sheave is required.
